Pasta-and-veggies is good, yeah! =D

I had rice-and-veggies tonight, myself. With eggroll!

I made no-cook pasta sauce Friday night, it was quite good. Cherry tomatoes, a little garlic, some anchovy fillets, almonds, golden raisins, capers, pasta water, all pulsed up in a food processor. Mixed with a grippy pasta like fusilli. If you have someone minding the pasta, you can make the sauce as fast as it takes to cook the pasta. It did take a bit longer as I first cooked Red Lobster biscuits.... Gotta have some garlic bread of one fashion or another to go with pasta!

As in the seafood restaurant chain cheesy garlic biscuits.  I buy Zatarain's cheesy garlic box mix, use kafir instead of milk, sharp ched cheese, and instead of just butter I use an equal blend of garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, and dried parsley (usually about a quarter tsp) in 1/3rd to 1/2 a cup of melted butter, usually salted butter.  I've been looking for a pure 'from scratch' biscuit mix, but thus far the Zatarain mix has been best and my garlic butter mix has been absolute killer - the dried parsley rehydrates quite nicely in the hot butter.

They actually sell the mix for it in a box and have for years (it's not Zatarain's; it's called "cheddar biscuits" and they're terrible so I'm not linking to it because no one should buy them. But Walmart carries it, if you're still interested after my bad review). The in-restaurant biscuit is far superior in taste and texture and in something I call "pulliness" that I can't otherwise describe.

I was just curious about name. I bought two plates at Wallmart 12 years ago and have no plans to ever buy from them again.
As for biscuits I grew up making them from scratch, so would be interested in a recipe but am not at all interested in a box. :)

I almost ROTF laughing over that, thanks. I don't like the shopping experience there myself but when I do go (not that often, anymore) I enjoy getting about 90% of what I'm after in one place and saving money on a lot of it. The place is almost traumatically stressful, though, so I never miss seeing it in between trips.

Their website's pretty good, though.
