I went to get some of the cheaper items on the list, and for whatever reason the only shipping address shown is... mine. Which is doable, I guess but... is this intended behavior?

If the school created the wishlist, you should be able to pick it as an option for the gifts to be sent directly there, but yes, their address will remain hidden from you. Amazon knows what it is but is keeping the school’s privacy. That’s the way the lists work.

But it's not an option I don't think? Ugh, why so annoying.

That’s strange! For me, I pick from the person’s list, put it in my cart, go to my cart and say I want to check out, and then it goes to shipping address, and my address shows as an option, but so does the person, with a note about the address being hidden. That’s weird if that doesn’t happen. But you do know the school’s address, right? There should be some sort of option to add an address.

This seems to be a mix of wishlist/item specific -- I've been trying to pick a small thing from as many amazon wishlists as possible, over on holiday_wishes, and I've only succeeded in sending three, because those are the only ones that Amazon would cough up the address for. One of those people, I was able to send one of the items I'd selected, and not the other, because it wasn't available as a gift 'at this time'.

Annoying as heck. Thankfully the school actually had sent the addy, I just hadn't seen it. Anybody wants it, PM me.

I think yours was one of the ones that failed. And I was grumpy and tired and threw my hands in the air and cursed a blue streak, and decided to come back to it. Which I would probably have forgotten about, if you hadn't mentioned it here.
