Jane Austen, as usual, provides the correct rebuttal - and it all sounds more elegant than anything Giuliani ever said.

I don't know, though. President Pence sounds revolting all on its own. Maybe we should just give up now and storm the castle regardless.

Also, (edit) if it's any consolation, to hear me talk you'd never know I'd lean prescriptivist. Prescriptivisim to me is the sad reality that I know I still drop words (maybe not just the same ones I dropped on LI) that I speak with mangled grammar and that I can do almost nothing about it because that's how I talk, how I communicate fastest or most effectively. It might be why I like writing so much: I can resume what I consider proper English on paper or at least online. It's a huge respite from what actually comes out of my mouth, which is another ballgame, altogether.
