Unfortunately, they cost upwards of $100.
Fortunately, they are much cheaper on Ebay, if one is able to get over the idea of buying a used battery.
Unfortunately, I have no way to buy things on Ebay. Can you pay cash to complete strangers? I somehow doubt this, and am too lazy to check.
Fortunately, some of you do. And you're not complete strangers. Can I beg ask somebody to pleasepleaseplease (once I once again find out what sort of battery, exactly, I need) buy me one on Ebay? I'd pay you, you'd send me the goods, it's a little convoluted and very stupid, but....

Thank you for your time. If this is even stupider than I realize, feel free to point and laugh.

Have you looked around sites like Froogle (http://froogle.google.com/) and Computer Shopper (http://www.shopper.com/)? I ended up doing a lot of searching before I bought a replacement battery for my laptop...

Most eBayers will accept a money order without putting a hold on it. Personal checks usually put a hold on, to prevent bounces. Money orders only cost a couple bucks at the post office.

If you need help I'd be happy to help as well, although back in the old days i did buy stuff using a personal check, it just takes a little longer. Lemme know. :-)

Do you have a checking account? Then you can sign up for a PayPal account which most eBay sellers accept.

My mommy told me you can get money orders at grocery stores, too, but I have no idea if that's still possible. ;)

I always use Paypal, because it's instant. I'm impatient.
