That's... that could actually kill fandom. Although what if someone simply used non-European sites?

Of course, I have a theory that fandom will eventually go into a non-internet specific system somehow. Fandom as it once was just doesn't work as well with the internet becoming part of everyday life - and this is just one example. But that could be AGES. :/

Fandom predates the internet by possibly longer than we know. I don't think it'll die based off of this. It'll suuuuuck, though.

Does TFC handle non-US politics?

Good point, TFC is primarily about US politics but I know they have non-US members and include a space for them in weekly checkins so they might not mind, especially for something that's as directly related to the intersection of fandom and politics as this.
