conulySo every year the NY Homeschoolers group (NYCHEA) has a group buy for six ski trips. And this year, with just Eva, I found the money to go. Except there's no train or bus that runs there, really, so I'd have to carpool.
You understand I wanted to set this up before I shelled out $250, but the person who handles organization said that oh no, everybody does that after they pay. So, reluctantly, I paid up.
If everybody organizes it, then everybody is leaving me out of their organizational loop, and nobody replied when I sent out a group email to people who have signed up for the trip OR when I posted to the general mailing list. So it's looking like we'll miss the first trip, which is Thursday, and it sucks and I am not happy.
At their website it does suggest I could catch a bus from Port Authority... but that's fully $85 a ticket. That's more than half the cost of the entire ski package right there, burned on getting there and back once. I can't do that.
