Took a shower for the first time in too long.

I feel so clean.

(Also, even beforehand, all the dishes were washed. When you have to boil the water yourself, you don't stop at "just enough". So I'm clean and I don't have dishes to do. Win!)

I would totally let Max in the library, not gonna lie.

Don't! One of the librarians is severely allergic! (I found a news article that expanded on the viral tweet. Max is not allowed in for good reason, like "not causing a librarian to stop breathing.")

Oh! Oh my! No, that's a very very very good reason for not wanting a library cat. Poor Max, you'll just have to stay home.

There's construction in Max's neighborhood anyway, so he's confined indoors now and they're trying to train him to walk on a harness so he can go visiting again.

Yup. (I'd worry about allergies among the patrons, too; one kid with a bad allergy, and Max could ruin everyone's day.)

(My other speculation before I found the article was that Max liked to pee on books. Also a good reason to keep Max out of places!)
