Callie has got to learn
Sep. 10th, 2017 02:30 pmThere is a time to snuggle and a time to desist from snuggling, a time to kill mice and a time to not kill mice.
Sigh. At least the neighbors ought to be happy, she caught that mouse in their yard. And then ate the entire thing when I told her to finish killing it before coming up and headbutting me, yuck.

But, goddam, we knew about the biology of teenagers and sleep when I was in high school, in the late 1980s. Nobody cared. Doing things that hurt kids or curtailed their academic success was practically the national sport. Maybe people are different now.

This fear of GMOs needs to stop, especially as we need to keep building stronger strains of crops that can handle the slowly resistance-gaining strains of blights and diseases that are affecting agriculture.
