I have a nagging suspicion, though, that his brother didn't really mean to bet anything. I mean, people say that all the time, don't they? I bet a million dollars that you can't do this, can do that. It's just something to say. You'd think that somewhere along the line he'd've checked in with his brother (Oh, I'm halfway there, get ready for that trip to Paris!) and made sure that nobody was about to back out of the bet.

I think his brother's just a dweeb. There's no way you save up $10,000.00 in pennies and the entire family isn't talking about it behind your back...!
