I didn't exactly say that. What I said is that I made a list in my head of people or animals small enough to fit in a walnut. And then I let her figure out the rest on her own.

My father's family being Danish, I grew up with the stories of Hans Christian Anderson, and we had both walnut trees and rose bushes in our yard in California, so I made a lot of walnut-shell fairy-beds when I was little, and some rather elaborate fairy encampments as I grew older.
