See here for why.

There are two forms of making paragraphs. One is the style I use informally, especially here in my blog. You type for a while, then hit enter twice to start a new paragraph. Simple.

The other form goes: type a while, hit enter ONCE, and hit space five times. This form is prefered in essays and whatnot, but it doesn't work too well on LiveJournal because extra spaces disappear. So, if you're going to use this form (and I assume that's what she was trying to do), please do the code for a space instead. What is it, &nb sp; (without a space)? Otherwise, you come up with a mess.

Hmm, it looks normal to me. Nothing seems broken up or anything. It looks just like your paragraphs, but with one hard return, rather than two. I often write my paragraphs the same way.

Was that the problem with the post? Or, is there something that isn't showing on my browser for some reason? While I sometimes make paragraphs with one hard return, if I was making a post that long, I would have used two. It makes it easier on the eyes, among other things.
Normally, I just make a new paragraph like this though and stay consistent through much of the post, unless I moved to an unrelated topic.
