Hey, I have a question.
Jun. 20th, 2014 04:45 pmThere's a book I urgently want to read, third in a trilogy, that's coming out in August... in the UK. No word on when it's coming out in the US.
I know that Americans can't order off the amazon.co.uk site... but is it possible for somebody in England to order a book and send it to an American's kindle as a gift? (It's a bit cheaper due to no shipping, don't you think?)

Date: 2014-06-20 09:37 pm (UTC)Also, while UK e-books are cheap in some ways because there seem to have been fewer problems with cartels and price manipulation than in some markets, they do attract a hefty 20% tax rate. (Paper books are taxed at 0%.)
