Ana has found it much easier to be engrossed in a book since getting the Kindle.

She is fascinated by Kiki Strike. I am not missing the occasional chance to rub it in that every time we suggested she read the books, she rebuffed us. I'd hope that next time we suggest a book she will like she at least tries it, but she probably won't.

I like that. It's very often a question of finding the right book, or in this case medium. My daughter jumped from preferring picture books to really hunkering down with more texty ones after she found this "fairy animals" series that appealed to her. Cutesy, but it works!

Oh, she's always liked to read. She just had the occasional other interest, probably because you can't realistically lug around 1000 books a day.
