As in fungible, which is one of my all time favorite words. As you might guess by the name, it is just fun to say! Fungible, fungible, fungible, try it! Not like the word fungi, which is just a lie. A fungus among us is not a fun guy, it is a mushroom.

I may be a bit tipsy from the excitement of knowing I have friends who want to help me out. You'll note that this is the most cheerful and prolific I've been in ages. Kinda wish I didn't need my friends to help me out, but you have to take what you can get.
Anyway, somebody asked which is better, straight cash for the house or stuff, and my response is that it's all fungible. If we don't have to spend money on stuff, we can save it for the house, so it all evens out. And other than sending thank yous just as fast as I can type them (or mail them, for those who got a bonus level thingy) I'm trying to pretend that money isn't even there, because if you start thinking you have money, pretty soon you *don't*. And really, we don't. That money is for the mortgage company. (Well, that's a depressing way of framing it. Remind me not to post those thoughts on the gofundme page. "Help make rich bankers even richer! And, incidentally, save our home!")
I've re-upped the amazon thing, though I'm trying to set priority levels on everything. Other than the pet food (which they will insist on eating) nothing there is super urgent, and even with the pet food we have another week and a half left before I buy more*. If you have a better idea for something to be put on there, or have a gift card or bonus rewards or a coupon to some other site that would be cheaper, and want to help that way, let me know.
* and if it comes to that, several people on this block already give two of my cats snacks, it would be little trouble for me to ask them to give them more food, they love my cats for some reason. If we do qualify for food stamps, I will apply with Pet Food Stamps. That can't hurt, and the worst they can do is say no.
