You know what's really weird about living in the future?

When I say "turn of the century" I always feel I have to qualify it because, of course, NOW are the years that are the turn of the century.

It has been 13 years, and it still feels strange that pretty soon people won't think of the early 1900s when they hear that phrase. I just can't get past it!

I've assumed it to mean early 2000s since like 2005. o_o

I know the feeling - but you know, "now" isn't the turn of the century. That was a decade ago. There are experienced programmers who don't know about the Y2K bug because they were still at school then. Time must be going faster - it can't be me getting old, after all.

If google is any indication, most people still think of it as the early 1900s.
