Though my success rate for phrases is very mixed.
Today I tried looking up the earliest citation of "get over yourself", and no dice - but I did find an amusing reddit post at /r/Englishlearning asking "What does get over yourself mean? People on reddit always tell me to do that."
(Some of the commenters valiantly went back through this poster's history to explain in better detail why people always say that to them, but they didn't exactly seem receptive to the feedback. Damn, though, like, lots of people don't like me, but I still can't honestly say the whole world "always" tells me to get over myself!)
