Amazing.

Today, my mother happened to say that she didn't know where her old missal was that was her grandfather's that he got in 1889. She'd had it at her office in her desk, and eventually it came home during an office move, and she thought she'd kept it safe but maybe it got cleared out in a purge.

Sometime later she called me down to check and make sure her TV was plugged in properly. As I'm poking around back there I glanced down and noticed a very small, dust-covered book. It occurred to me that a black, palm-sized book might be a religious thing, so I picked it up, confirmed that it was written in French, and tossed it to my mother on the couch.

That's some amazing timing there!
