I told my mom we're running out of fireworks and she said two things

1. "You really don't like fireworks, do you?"

...no, I really don't. I mean, I like organized shows put on by professionals who know what they're doing, where you know when they'll start and stop and you can leave if you like. But amateur hour? No, thank you. I'm not sure how she was in any sort of doubt on this front.

2. "Hah, maybe we'll run out of bullets next!"

Now, that's dreaming!

I don't know if I posted about this

but we have two red-tailed hawks in the neighborhood. We also have a turkey. As of today, I can confirm that the turkey is a mama. (Aw.)

I love hawks, but nevertheless, I hope they stay away from that adorable little fluffkin.
