as shipping online is slow for that, and she also said since she was going out she could pick up some groceries. She didn't get everything on my list (to be fair, lox and a duck were long-shots) but she picked up enough that I can delay shopping another week, which is good. In return, I'm sewing her masks. I made two today while watching Brooklyn 99 and Finding Dory, which gives you an idea of my pace here! (Though that doesn't include the mask I hemmed wrong and had to unpick. It's a square of fabric, how can I screw that up?) If I make two or three tomorrow she'll have enough for both her parents, and then I can sew a set for her family and more for us.

taking this time to do some cleaning and refurbishment of iconic tourist attractions.
The MTA could stand to take the idea and do all the track work now. Ridership is down, of course, so why not fix the L train?
As I said, I watched the newest episode of Brooklyn 99. It's surreal - it ostensibly is set "now", but of course it was filmed a while ago so there's no pandemic. The NYPD just lost a third person, so you know realistically they'd be obsessed with it. I guess that's for the fanfic until they can catch up, though. (If they do. By the time they start filming again it'll be over and done with, so.)

So you know it's serious when I say it: You, anonymous author, would do well to purchase a thesaurus and learn how to use it.
In particular, if you are not a bigot - and I must admit that you don't seem to be - you would be well-served to banish the word "homosexual" from your vocabulary entirely. Try "gay". At any rate, even if you're talking about LGBT issues, neither word should appear more than six times in a five sentence paragraph. That's not the only example of limited vocabulary here, but it's by far the most egregious.
(Of course, this is all a symptom of a bigger problem, which is a noted tendency to repeat ideas and infodrop. The books are cheap, at least, probably because nobody sprung for an editor or even provided coffee for a beta reader.)
