Welp, I made it!

Today marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. From here on out the daily increase in sunlight should be noticeable... assuming there isn't too much cloud cover.

For the first time in over 900 years, Sunday is an extra rare palindrome day

While reading fanfic, it occurs to me that the correct answer to

"Potter, where would you look if I told you to find me a bezoar?" is "Probably the supply cabinet."

I mean, does Snape expect him to slaughter a goat right there in the classroom? (You don't need to tell me that pointing this out would not have helped.)

Bezoars are real, by the way, though we've known for a very long time that they don't cure poison.

Not *quite* as absurd as "I can pardon myself*"

but nevertheless, a statement like "If a president did something that he believes will help him get elected, in the public interest, that cannot be the kind of quid pro quo that results in impeachment" is still remarkably bold. I'm not sure if it says more about their desperation, their effrontery, or their intelligence that they're trying it with any level of seriousness.

* No, you can't. I don't care who you are or exactly what you're trying to pull, you cannot pardon yourself.
