Oh! And I forgot to tell you the cutest part!

Yesterday, as I said, we went to the store and stocked up on dog gear - dog toys, dog rawhide chews, dog food, dog bed, dog clothes, and a dog moose.

See, as you might recall, Ana has a moose. Ana has Moosie, and her emergency replacement moose. (She's now old enough to probably not need an emergency replacement moose, so Emergency lives in the house with the rest of us.) And we have a smaller version of Moosie, named Vanilla. And Eva has a moose with white horns named Chocolate, because she wanted her own full-sized stuffed moose. And I picked up two different moose from yard sales to screw with Jenn's mind a bit. And then I ordered my own moose last year, Jasper, and gave it to myself for Christmas.

So Eva refused to leave the pet store until we found a moose for Moonpie. (Oooh, we'll definitely call that moose Moosepie, gotta tell the girls!)

The cats, of course, would rather have a toy mouse instead of a toy moose :)

I'm trying to pick out an inexpensive gift for somebody's kid. Naturally, I thought of books. (I have a great trouble picking out random gifts that aren't books.) Specifically, I thought of Drama - this kid isn't a big reader. If you click the link, you'll find that the top few reviews are all one star reviews, for a one star reason - OMG THERE ARE GAYS IN MIDDLE GRADE FICTION!

Now, I would never tell people to spam the upvotes. I'm just saying, if you find yourself personally moved to upvote a positive review or downvote a negative ones, you should follow the dictates of your conscience. Or, if you or your kid has read the book and feel personally moved to leave a review, you can do that.

(And no, Scholastic isn't going to concede to their little agenda and start putting content warnings on that book. Thank you, but no.)
