It's been a busy vacation!

conulyPicked up the nieces Monday, went to the "big" library, the main branch. Tuesday we went to Liberty Science Center, which is pricey, especially when you take the boat instead of the PATH train! But it wasn't very crowded, and they had fun, especially in the touch tunnel. We probably will go again, but most likely not for several months. Today we went to the NY Historical Museum, which I didn't even know existed. It's across the street from the AMNH, and it's actually pretty comprehensive! They have a well-done children's section, and today they were offering scavenger hunts for the kids, so the nieces had a blast. Tomorrow we go to Chelsea Piers for this program where you rock climb for 45 minutes, then do trampoline. If they're not booked up. God, I think you book it in the morning? I hope so!
And then they STILL have off Monday and Tuesday! I'm thinking the Met on Monday, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Tuesday. It's always better when we get out of the house. And then they're back to school Wednesday and go to swimming, as always. (Have I mentioned yet that Ana is now a guppy? Evangeline was so aggrieved at not being in the same class that she pushed herself to move straight from a two belt to a one belt to a no belt within a single day! But now she sees how much harder it is to float without a belt. It's a good thing they like swimming, because they have no choice.)
Edit: wait... Damn, do we have swimming on Tuesday as well next week? I think we do! But I really want to make it to the botanic gardens.... I'll just have to have a very tight schedule.
