The kittens are adoptable, and the proceeds go to the local animal shelter. I happen to like kittens as much as the next person, possibly more, which is why I'm wondering how they're going to make sure those kittens get enough alone time, aren't too stressed, and don't catch any contagious illnesses. Might be better to donate the money directly to the shelter and go ahead and adopt a kitten (two kittens) directly.
(The shelters near me won't even give you a solitary kitten unless you already have a cat. I quite agree. Kittens do better with other cats around, usually.)
