Incidentally, you know you've been taking Latin too long when you're reading a book and you automatically find yourself trying to figure out the scansion. I can't even do that properly when it's in Latin poetry, much less English prose!

Date: 2004-05-26 06:52 am (UTC)When I read too much Ovid or Shakespeare, I automatically start thinking in iambic pentameters. I usually notice when I get stuck - which is fairly soon, but it's all pretty scary anyway...
