Firstly, somebody just yesterday said they really like the articles I post. :) This is prompting me to make my own confession - I really like the articles I find here. In fact, I rarely crosspost any of them because then I'd have to crosspost all of them and then I might as well just link to the entry itself and too much of that is a little weird.

Here's an article on the criminalization of gay marriage. I don't understand what happened to the whole state's rights concept. Isn't one of the rights of the states to be able to deal with marriages?

Scary wage data - and it is scary!

Some judges chastise banks over foreclosures. All the bank people quoted in the article are going "boo-hoo-hoo, this is very bad, very bad indeed, it's not good for judges to do this!" but if the issue at hand is that they didn't bother to do paperwork or do it correctly - or even if they did it fraudulently, whom do they have to blame but themselves?

So, this is scary. Some Muslims heading to Mecca had their passports seized by Customs for... who knows? They missed their flight, because, you know, Muslims making their pilgrimage is something you totally can't predict will happen *every year* and it's *scary*. Or something.

I had no idea the citizenship laws were so... arcane.

And just FYI, vampires don't eat Hindus :)

So, after "OMG! CAN I BE FINED FOR DRINKING A SODA AND EATING SOME SOUP IN THE PARK???" gets the universal response of "WTF?" the original poster went on a campaign to call us all stupid for not knowing what she was talking about. And we were nice enough to start, but it all leads to...

I assumed people in this city were aware of what went on in it besides where to get a great egg cream ,or where to buy a cool leather jacket.
Given the fact sugar taxes were almost imposed on all sugared drinks, and now they will go aftger salt, and one with a clue, would have gotten it.
Guess having been born here and living here all my life and putting my life on the line for this city, negates all of that on this community.
Forgive me for being such a lowley worm as to want to commiserate abt it with other like minded city dwellers.

Yup, she's put her life on the line by telling us about the salt, and we should be able to psychically divine what on earth she's talking about. Her very thoughts are like manna from heaven!

I haven't enjoyed a brewing storm so much! Alas, I have to start cooking soon, and no doubt it'll get deleted before I can return.

Edit: In fact, it's already deleted. Well, it was fun while it lasted.
