Which meant, as always, they didn't get home until well past their bedtime - past 11 this time. So Jenn woke me this morning and said they were letting Ana sleep. I'm good with that.
Ana slept past her normal waking time, slept past her normal leaving time, slept past school starting (8:30) and woke up at around 9:35 instead. And she was quite perturbed to find that I intended to feed her, dress her, and ship her off to school! I even called the school to quell her statements that she was "too late" to go!
In truth, I probably wouldn't've - she's only in kindergarten, it's the end of the year, and she hasn't been out that often as it is. But I had to go by the school *anyway* to exchange some paperwork (JENN! ONE FILE HAS TO BE FILLED OUT!) and I'd feel silly doing that and not sending Ana. And really, what were they going to say, don't send her?
Evangeline tried twice to sneak up to Ana's class, and ran straight to the exit door when we left. She cried, too :( We finally sat down at home and worked out how many days until she starts pre-k. "I bet it's a hundred!" she said. And you know what? It just about is a hundred!
