I find it interesting that he calls his actions to avoid annoying his wife "acquiring empathy". When you have two people in a relationship with different modes of functioning, and one makes no bones about how annoying s/he finds the other to be, and the *other* one works hard to change everything about how they act in order to make the first person happy (the first person who, according to this article, doesn't appear to be making any concessions or changes of her own), which one of them can truly be said to lack empathy, exactly?

White privilege leads to racism.
Straight privilege leads to homophobia.
Abled privilege leads to ablism or disablism.
Neurotypical privilege (which overlaps, I suppose, with abled privilege but not entirely, I should think) leads to... what now?

(And why did the SATs get rid of analogies? Those're fun!)
