Remember how I was sick-ish?

Turns out that I was actually sick. I went through all the symptoms of the flu individually, and apparently ran a fairly high fever while I was at it. (I took my temperature at the start of this, and it was 98.7, which doesn't sound high at all until you recognize that my *normal* temperature is actually a bit low, more like 97, or even slightly lower, instead of 98.6!) And then, of course, it seems to have gotten much higher - my mother commented loudly that I was "burning up". I was too busy regressing to childhood (well... not that much) by crying and hugging her lap.

Now Angelique has gotten it too, poor dear, and I'm sure the baby will as well. It's naptime for both of them, but Evangeline has opted for quiet time while safely up on my back for another... say... half an hour. She needs the rest, even if she doesn't want it.

Oh no.

Angelique has recently really glommed onto this toy moose at the museum. I am *certain* that it must have originally been a moose another child left there, but by now it's been there so long that... well... it's not anymore. She calls it Moosey. She carries it everywhere. She's asked the staff if she can take it home (and they said no, of course). So instead she tries hiding it so that she can get it back first thing when we show up again.

I caved, found out which sort of Beanie Baby it turned out to be, and ordered her a new one without telling her.

Got it in the mail. Small problem. This moose comes in big and small sizes - and I got the wrong moose.

Well, I snuck in and stuck it on her hammock anyway, and tried again.

This time, I used a tape measure, and I think I've picked the correct moose. Only thing is that it's not being made anymore, so I had to order it from a private seller on Amazon.

It's all very reassuring (almost as much as his approval rating), but it does make me feel slightly guilty that all that effort and all those capital letters are just going to be up and given to a four year old child.
