My lovely brother in law got a turkey filled with chemicals and prebrined

(Ew.)

Now, a family friend suggested that if I wash the sucker, I can then rebrine it, properly.

I'm not too sure about this.

Time to brine that turkey!

I had some tough moments at the store where I wanted to scrap the turkey idea altogether and go with a duck, but maybe I can get a duck to go with the ham I want for New Years. Or some duck just to freeze...?

I'll see if I can convince Jenn and 'dul to take their still-frozen turkey to the food pantry or whatnot.
