First, half-a-week of warm weather, culminating in the warmest day, temperatures in the mid-60s. Immediately, the dropped. Within 24 hours, they were in the 30s. Or lower. And we got a steady stream of sleet, all day long, sleet.
Ana and I went to Elliot's house (his dad drove us over and back), the baby stayed home with 'dul, who took off work in the aftermath of our nearly-a-blazing-inferno that nobody seemed to care about or comment on :(
Well, not quite a blazing inferno, but still.
And all through our visit, Rachel kept making noises that maybe we should stay the night. And I told her, I don't have the authority, she'd have to ask Ana's actual parents. I didn't think it was really that dangerous, or I would have called them myself.
Well, we got home safe (I made sure to call Rachel, because she's a wonderful person who does worry a bit much), and I still don't feel sleeping over was necessary, but I did wish I'd left a little earlier.
