It's really weird when you go to buy used clothes...

And the clothes you end up buying were never, in fact, used. So I got a $15 pair of snowpants which had been marked down to $8 and then presumably bought, only to be given/sold to the ETG so I could buy them for $2.17 (tax included).

They're nifty, and Ana's size, even if they *are* pink and purple combined. And they're better than the ones from last year she's been in, which are almost too tight.

Such a weird, boring day. All Ana wanted to do was put various people to sleep - and she'd quite annoyed to find you in the kitchen after she'd tucked you in. "NO! Go back to sleep! Go back to room and sleep!"

Of course, when her bedtime actually rolls around, nuthin' doin'. I have to convince first her toes, then her hands, then her braids to go to sleep before she would.

She's a very *strange* child in many ways.

I'm also amazed at these blocks. Next year, or this year for Ana's birthday, I'll buy them. She loves sitting with me, reading her various abecedarian books (I'm making a list to get, because clearly you can't have too many of those), repeating the words, and making the handshapes for the alphabet. It's... a bit frightening, actually. Pretty soon, she'll be reading, and *then* what'll we do when we want to say things in front of her without her knowing what we've said?

This bodes ill. That's all I've got to say about it.

(On the other hand, I can't wait until she can read her own books to herself. That's the first step to moving into real books. I have a list of things I want to do with this kid.)

Oh, and if you'd like a card or something, but not cookies, you can do that too.
