Because I just searched for a quote from Antigone (at least, I thought it was from Antigone, and I was right), and I came up with Professor Dunkle's page. When I searched for Vergil's Bucolics, to check my memory of one line (Vergil eats your brains, be warned), I got Professor Van Sickle's page. I can only imagine what would happen if I searched for Constance Evangeline Baker, I'd probably get the entire classics department at BC, because god knows they didn't have enough fun reciting my entire name...

I'm wondering if Google is trying to tell me something here.... Possibly "stop searching up obscure quotes"?

That place is huge. And it's got a lot of hardly-decrepit old houses, and some small cottages. So I have a new plan. When the world ends, instead of grabbing a boat and somebody who can drive it, making my way to Governor's Island, I'll head to Snug Harbor instead. That seem like a good idea to you?

Except that somebody else has probably already thought of it. It's a rather nice place. So what about this: I head into Manhattan. No, no, it's a good idea. See, since everybody else will be fleeing the city, it'll all be rather empty. I just need some seeds, and a few saplings, and I can set up residence in Central Park, or maybe in that area that didn't exist until they built the WTC.... So long as I'm careful about zombies, it'll be good.

Of course, the land in Manhattan is largely unsuited to farming, but it's not like I'll be supporting eight million people, so I should get by.

It's not as funny as the infamous Dudley in Leather story, or even the Naked Quidditch match, but it's pretty good. Well. I'm amused. Of course, the other day I spent several minutes lifting Ana up to walk along a length of fence, then collapsing in giggles every time she jumped down at the end....

Here.

Kid's and YA books I've either read recently and enjoyed, or remember fondly and would like to read again )

I'm cutting this off now, so I can post another list at a later date. Comments?
