Please tell me that people really aren't that stupid. I was under the impression that a lot of this sort of abuse centers around eroding a person's self-respect. So, um, yeah?

And then, on top of that: Let's say you have your self-respect. You don't go back. Where do you live? How do you eat? What about the kids/pets?

Assault is a crime. Domestic violence kills. Humans, not chickens. Some sense, please?

Oops. I decided not to make the same mistake again of oversleeping, so I brought them all upstairs as incentive. There turned out to be four kittens, just about to open their eyes (one has them barely open). Very cute now... and quieter than I'd expect given that I picked them up and manhandled them. That's a bit strange.

Gave mama cat some food and water, which she devoured, so I'm going out to get her more.

Well, the yahoo case was resolved....

You all know what I think of it. And now they're upset because the contents were exactly what they should have expected. Spam and emails they'd sent him. Apparently, they had this idea that he would have saved all his sent emails or something (and why they didn't save his emails themselves, if it was so important to them, I don't know)

Grr. I officially hate the Muddy Cup website.

I suddenly had a craving for a chai, and maybe a cheese danish. Unfortunately, by the time I located clothes, keys, and money, it was an hour later - oh dear. Would the Muddy Cup still be open? I could, of course, just *walk* down there, but I had to be clever. I visited their website!

There's a menu. A calendar of special events. A blog! Directions, news stories, pictures... can you tell me what's missing? That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Nowhere on this site is anything so gauche as opening and closing times! I suppose one should intuit those, right? Stupid site.

And I don't care that it's only a block away, I'm really irked.
