A general thank you.

I mentioned this to a casual LJ-acquaintance after reading one of her posts. Everybody on my friends list is so depressing, talking about horrible conditions in hopsitals, terrible news, injustice and prejudice, as many depressing things as I can think of. This is even before those of you who talk about your own lives (you'll notice that I don't, but then, my life really doesn't have any angst or drama outside of my own mind).

This is important stuff, and I know myself that it's easy to just hide away from it all, but that doesn't do anything. Better to just keep talking about it, because people listen.

Poor eofs has never seen the Princess Bride.

No, I'm not kidding. Do you have a DVD player, EofS, (and what does that mean again, your name)? If so, I'll buy you a DVD and send it to you. You *need* to see this movie.

It's just as well. If she hadn't said that, I wouldn't've been reading the script right now. I can hear the actors as I read. I don't know why I bother, I very nearly have the whole thing memorized anyway.

Good movie, that.

Edit: Oh god, there's more of you? Well, you're just going to have to share the DVD, I can't afford that many. I'll lend it to E first, who'll send it to innerbrat, who'll sent it to oloriel, who will (hopefully) return it to me so I can watch the Princess Bride. Not that I need the DVD, it's on cable at least once a month.
