This time about webdesign I just don't like.

1. Moving text. This is okay if the "text" is an image, or if it's a slow moving news banner, but not if it's a link. Nobody really wants to play tag on your site.

2. Those things where it fades from one page to another. When I click a link, I want to just go to the new site, I don't want to sit and wait while a circle appears or it all pixelates into the new site.

3. Text that's constantly changing fonts, sizes, or from bold to italic to underlined to all three. If you want to emphasize something, good, pick ONE thing for emphasis and stick with it. Pick ONE font, too, it really causes eyestrain to have to keep switching.

4. Splash screens. Is that what they're called? The front page of a site where it plays a stupid animation with loud and/or obnoxious music and there's NO WAY TO AVOID IT, you just have to sit through it before you get to the information. Anything that you can skip past is okay, but if you can't, I don't want to see it.

5. White text on black background. That always gives me a headache.

That's about it. Thanks for reading. I'm tired.

Yeah... I'm night-blind; a lot of reflective white is actually pretty painful to look at (my pupils don't dilate as quickly as they should, or get stuck, sometimes... what fun) sometimes. But if someone had good light-level adjustment, they'd be fine otherwise, I suppose.

I actually knew the exact answer to this once... optics was the only part of physics I actually liked!
