Hm. Article about the boat....

Two articles. This one is the first.
And this is the second.
Now, the DOT is saying they don't have the money for the increase in service. But I'm thinking, the ferry is free. Well, it's paid for by our taxes, but a lot of the people riding it are tourists. So why not reinstate the 50 cent fare? Except make it 25 cents each way instead of just 50 on Staten Island. That'd earn them about $6 million. I'd certainly be willing to pay if they'd increase nighttime and weekend service! And maybe keep things cleaner....
