Bought a copy of Monstrous Regiment with the last of my money. I may starve this week, but at least I won't run out of books until the morning.

And on the train, they kept repeating the same announcement about "please, stand away from the moving platform, as trains enter and leave the station". I mean, twice a minute. It was terribly annoying. Though not as annoying as that one time...

*dreamy flashback sequence*

I'm in the 14th street station when I hear this announcement.

Please remember panhandling is illegal...

*nodnod* Yes, it is, they've got signs up.

...If you wish to give to the poor, you should give to a reputable charity...

*nods* Yes, because you don't know where the money's going this way (unless you buy food and give that out).

...So please, don't give money to those lawbreakers.

Um, what? Now that's just cold. Lawbreakers? They're just trying to make a couple bucks!

But it's been a while.

Ahem.

If I've ever upset, offended, aggravated, annoyed, peturbed, disrupted, irked, bothered, molested, driven batty, killed any of you, please accept my most sincere and abject apologies. It is ~98.62% likely to have been an accident. Promise.

Unless it wasn't. You can always ask. I'll tell you if I wanted to be rude. Really.

Oh, god.

Fucking moron of a troll-ling in Asperger.

She's JUST within the border. Can I just ban her from commenting? Do you think I should? I think I should, but I don't want to be overzealous.

Here
And here.

And in the comments here as well

It is interesting to note that inhibited functioning of the amygdala, in addition to being a predictor of Republican loyalty, has also been linked to another brain disorder: autism.

Optical illusions

Nothing you haven't seen before, I'm sure, but humor me?

Edit: There's a general warning on this post for the faint of heart. Or those who don't have the same sense of humor as I do and therefore think it's lame.

*frowns*

I've been reading the posts at [livejournal.com profile] brooklyncollege and finally actually friended somebody there. I don't really have friends in the real world, and somebody who goes to the same school I do is... close. And he seems interesting.

People are strange. They're everlastingly posting to tell this guy that they think, based on his icon, that he's hot. Nothing wrong with that, except it makes certain other people (me) feel mildly insecure. Nobody tells me that I'm hot because of my icon! *mock sniffles and points to the icon*

Anyway, I'm not sure they'd come up to him in real life and say this. So why do they do it online? Some of them are actually meeting him in real life, because people from the comm are meeting up on campus semi-regularly (we hope), so it's like real life when you post on the journal... but they act differently. Or I think they do, anyway. I may not be the best judge.

One of the most popular (well received and common, that is) forms of icons in [livejournal.com profile] book_icons is the "quote alone" type. I think its popularity started as a way to break away from harry potter movie icons, but it's taken off, even with books that have many options other than movies to choose from. I wonder why?

Edit: Did I just say "thinks thoughtfully"? Why, yes indeedy! *goes to kill herself*

My lack of real-world friends is because I mostly live online. Youse guys know this. It doesn't disturb me much, but somehow the fact that I have more friends now than I did before (but they're all online) disturbs everybody else in the family VERY much. Messed up.

If you're irritated at the content of my journal, don't post in my journal to tell me. Post in YOUR journal, 'k?
