These people are wrong. It takes very little time and effort to teach a cat to come when called, even if you don't use food treats. Using that, it was very easy to teach Callie how to play fetch. She already enjoyed carrying her toys around, and it didn't take too many lessons to convince her that the best thing to do was to bring them to me so I can throw them again. It's really freaking adorable.

Date: 2012-05-17 04:28 am (UTC)I've also trained my cats (6 in total, all females) to allow bathing, one of them plays fetch, one is so attached to the Red Bug that she can been several rooms away and here that click and will immediately be at your feet.
