I'm completely disgusted. Even the second story (which was presumably told to the judge) is bad, because that would mean she isn't watching her daughter at all. People like this need to be dropped into the middle of the ocean and told to doggypaddle home.

It doesn't make me disgusted, it makes me goddamn angry because I personally know a *beepbeepbeepbeep* who could very well be in a situation like that and do something similar. I have a seething hate for people, especially mothers, who care nothing for their children.

I've always been in favor of parenting licenses... or at least full disclosure of all the stuff that happens to a chick during pregnancy (thankfully - I think - that void has been filled by Jenny McCarthy's new book).
