Date: 2011-12-01 06:05 pm (UTC)Thankfully, I haven't been hit by this, although it probably helps greatly that my browser at home has the NoScript and RequestPolicy add-ons (the latter of which can block unwanted third-party requests). But for those who have been nailed by it and ended up giving their login information, I feel bad for them and hope that they were able to change their passwords before anything bad could happen. =( It may seem like a "no-brainer" not to enter information in the pop-up, but it's all too easy to go on auto-pilot and not really pay attention until it's too late.
