I know; he kept reading it and going "Umm, that's not what it says here..."; they were very annoyed.

The Lutheran church is big on encouraging Bible reading, but it's not so pleased if it leads the reader to conclude that there's no compelling reason to believe any of it. I guess the Catholic Church could have warned them what would happen if they persisted in their reckless, heretical notions about thinking for oneself
