Date: 2010-11-20 03:24 am (UTC)I did that once as a sub, it's a couple minutes of set-up and then you can just ignore it for most of the day. You just need to make sure to turn it off when the kids leave for lunch (and back on afterward). I do remember the notes made a very strong point that I had to make sure to plug the device in at the end of my day so it'd be charged for the next school day, and I could see how there could be an issue every now and then where a mistake might happen, but none of that would justify taking it out on the student. This isn't even a difficult accommodation. It's not like it's okay to not accommodate just because it's a fair bit of effort, but when it isn't even hard and you don't do it, it's really hard not to think you're just an awful human being.

She really shouldn't be around children, but that was already obvious.
