1. Is it okay to punchbuggy a. by proxy and b. over the phone?

2. I have a bread recipe that calls for some quantity of cooked rolled oats. I have rolled oats to use, so I will, but in the future could I substitute the same amount of cooked steel-cut oats since that's what I try to have on hand?

3. Should I have made this a poll?

4. Can I count?

2. Since they're cooked, it probably won't hurt. If they weren't cooked I'd worry about different cooking times. The texture might be a bit different, but I think it's likely enough to work that you might as well try it and find out.

1. Sure, why not.

2. No idea, but give it a try, you might make a discovery.

3. Probably.

4. Apparently not... ;-)

1. If 'punchbuggy' is the same as what people out here call 'slugbug', I don't see how you can very well do it over the phone or by proxy, because the whole point of it is the punching, AKA slugging.... isn't it?

2. I don't see why not, but I'm not the person to ask about such matters.

3. Clicky!

4. No; go back to Sesame Street!

1. Yes, but not often, unless the punchbuggee* has the opportunity to effectively retaliate.

2. Yes, you can, but steel cut oats take longer to cook and don't absorb as much water, so you'll want to make sure that what you want to make is cooked. It may take some experimentation because of that.

3. This is a poll. The fact that it's lacking HTML code doesn't make it less a poll.

4. Does it matter?

Retaliation would be the ability to call you a month from now and return the favor.

"No hitbacks" are different from "fresh hits."
