My waffle iron just broke, with a loud POP - the wire seems to have chosen this moment to forget it's supposed to be attached. D'oh!

I have a bowl of batter and four waffles. MY ENTIRE DINNER PLAN DEPENDS ON HAVING CURRY WAFFLES FOR MY CURRIED WAFFLE CLUB SANDWICHES.

What can I do?

Edit: Turns out my neighbor has a waffle iron. The grid is too small for my tastes, but I'm SO no complaining.

Also, I now have to buy a new waffle iron. How about one of those on-the-stove types? Any advice?
