A year after all the trees came down (more or less) in Central Park, people are now choosing to see it as an opportunity. You know, crisis, disaster, opportunity, that old line.

Now, here's an interesting one. An anti-gay-marriage group had a poll up on their webpage, so Daily Kos exhorted people to vote the other way... and then the group just altered the poll after the fact! LOL.

Obama doesn't regret his remarks regarding said "ground zero mosque". Listen, people. 9/11 was NOT THE HOLOCAUST. There are ways to say something was bad or terrible without immediately jumping up and going "OMG AUSCHWITZ HITLER GENOCIDE!" It's rude, it's disrespectful, and it's just plain stupid.

I like the idea of planting trees and grasses that are native to the area.
