In the Bulwer-Lytton contest article:

Weird phrasing - surely that's the wrong way round. I doubt the contest invented him.

Braille is traditionally capitalized when written out in its full spelling. In grade two Braille, if I recall correctly, Braille would be b-r-l, and I don't think it gets capitalized. But in normal print, I think it gets the capital. It is based on a person's name, but it is kind of weird to capitalize it, so I'm not going to say it ought to be that way, just that I think it tends to be.
