Notable quote:

Much can be done to improve the quality of life of those with autism, and some have actually recovered from the disability.

*stares*

Exactly who are you talking about?

Other quote:

Children and adults with autism are unable to relate to others in a meaningful way.

I just know from my own experience, but that still doesn't sound right. Am I hideously mistaken? Does this actually apply for a majority of the classicly autistic population? And, a better question. When they talk about the "rate of autism rising" and about "people with autism are", do they use the same definition each time? Because deep in my little mind, I suspect they don't, that the first definition includes people who would not have gotten a diagnosis just a little while ago, and the second ONLY includes those who are stereotypically... ahem... "stolen from their loving parents, devestated by that terrible child-snatching disease and completely unable to think or do ANYthing".

*glares and grumbles* This is my fault. I keep telling myself to stop clicking on links, but I don't.

I think they might be running out of months to make people aware of things.

Huh? Must have been a temporary problem, because I don't see what you're talking about...
