Date: 2010-01-23 09:50 am (UTC)Too lazy to go to the Onion, but I've been thinking about this. If 'throw away' means into the trash which will go to the landfill.... Then the plastic=petroleum product full of greenhouse gases is going back into the ground instead of being burnt as gasoline and going into the air.
Of course best it should have stayed in the ground in the first place, but you can't have everything.
