Okay, did anyone watch nightline?

Because I clicked on this link and now I'm going to be all worried until this is (hopefully) refuted by somebody who watched the show or knows what's going on. Even if it's completely confirmed, at least I'll feel better knowing.

Um... I didn't watch the show, and I don't know what's going on, but that looks pretty crazy. I can't imagine it's true. Sounds to me like the conspiracy theories that have been around for ages, to be honest - wasn't there something a while ago about how Bush was in league with the Jews and together they caused 9-11?

That one's not very popular, nor particularily intelligent. If the Israeli government had done such a thing, and gotten caught, there'd be a horrendeous backlash against them. Despite what some people believe, it is still a very small country. They'd have to be insane, especially considering that it'd effectively lose them one of their most powerful supporters (the US). As for Bush, I could believe that, except that I don't think that he could pull off a conspiracy on this level. That would require massive coverups, and for a lot of people to keep quiet for a long time. And again, if it came out (as conspiracies often do), he'd be more than ruined, he'd be dead. I don't think anybody would consider the risk worth it.

Hmm...well, I think the world is better off with Indymedia than without, but it's got as many of its own kind of credibility problems as does the mainstream. This can be seen, in part, in the fact that they now separate out the "approved" reports (according to some standard or other - ???) from the rest of the dreck.

Let's see: being arrested and held without being charged, without access to an attorney, without being told how long you will be held.

Sounds like martial law to me.
