Ana's back from school.
Sep. 9th, 2009 04:55 pmWhen 'dul dropped her off, I could've sworn he said her class was with a Mr. Something-or-other, but no, her teacher is female. (And no, unlike some people, I don't think a (hypothetical) male teacher is worth changing teachers over. Srsly.)
She's in class with her bestest friend in the whole world EVAH, Meghan - and they got to sit next to each other! Oh joy! Oh boy! Oh my GOD they're gonna do nothing but talk and pass notes. Well, passing notes, that'll improve their handwriting and reading anyway....
And I've been totally suckered into going to the next PTA meeting. I had to go anyway to talk about the French Toast thing because I *promised*, but another kid there, his mom and I got to talking about recess and gym and why kids should have both (no, seriously, the professional organization for gym teachers even says this), so I want to drop by and talk to them about the set-up. I said that if SHE brings it up, *I* will bring the research. I don't want to be That Parent when I'm not even a parent, after all.
...
As long as I'm there, maybe I can talk about their homework policy. Homework for pre-k! It's insane, is what it is.
